My sage has been flowering this week. Despite the harvesting wisdom that says that herbs should be cut just before flowering, I never do it. I love the purple flowers, and the bees love them, too. In this photo, a single yellow rosebud hovers next to the sage, making a beautiful purple and yellow contrast (two of my favourite colours!). There is a young ladybug just inside the rosebud.
